In this very hands-on and experiential course you will hike into the forest and learn how to select a site, stay overnight in the shelters you construct, cook over a fire you make with friction, purify water, and find wild edibles.

You will come away with practical skills, increased confidence, and stories to share with family and friends. The course is open to all levels - both beginners and those that have taken basic survival classes. Join us for this exciting weekend adventure!

In this course you will:

  • Build and sleep in a natural survival shelter
  • Make fire from a bow drill kit built from dead branches
  • Identify, harvest, and eat wild edible plants
  • Learn to locate and purify water
  • Practice locating wild game for trap placement
