Alderleaf hosts Wildlife Tracker Evaluations with CyberTracker International. The CyberTracker Evaluations serve as an international standard for certifying competent wildlife trackers. The two-day field tests are also an excellent learning opportunity and skill-assessment tool for anyone studying wildlife tracking.

Tracking Evaluations serve several important functions:

  1. Evaluations certify competent trackers, helping them gain credibility and employment in wildlife research, education, and eco-tourism.

  2. Evaluations provide an exceptional learning opportunity. The field tests typically include a tremendous diversity of tracks and sign, and after each section the evaluators thoroughly explain the answers.

  3. Evaluations allow wildlife trackers to identify their own strengths and weaknesses, helping them learn and grow more efficiently.

The two day field tests typically runs from 8am to 5pm each day, while traveling to multiple habitat types to test on a variety of tracks and sign. Certificates are awarded at the end of the second day.
