Spend a fun and engaging day learning the fundamentals of nature photography with Filip Tkaczyk! Learn how to take great photos and enhance them with simple software programs.

The course covers:

  • Locating and capturing images of plants, animals, and landscapes
  • Understanding composition and lighting
  • Wildlife observation, stalking, and awareness
  • Making the most out of your equipment
  • Basics of Adobe Photoshop and other photo editing software
  • Saving, storing, printing, and sharing images
  • The course is a mixture of instruction and hands-on, field-based exercises. Participants come away with a great foundation of skills for capturing amazing photographs of nature.

    Instructor: Filip A. Tkaczyk is an experienced naturalist who has extensively studied the ecosystems of Washington state for over a decade. He earned a B.S. in Wildlife Science from the University of Washington and has worked for Seattle Audubon, the Wildlife Society, and the Olympic National Park. His expertise includes mushroom foraging and nature photography.
