Alderleaf Wilderness College is honored to be hosting Adriaan Louw, Senior Tracker from South Africa, for a 2-day trailing workshop! Learn how to follow tracks and sign to find wild animals. This course is also great preparation for taking the trailing evaluation for tracker certification.

The class is held in Central Washington where there are opportunities to trail elk, deer, black bear, and cougar. The field-based workshop includes instruction and coaching in trailing skills while following fresh animal tracks.

Adriaan has trained rangers, guides, and trackers, and is a certified tracking evaluator for CyberTracker International. He specializes in trailing dangerous game such as African lions and leopards, and has worked for ten years in formal conservation including five years at Kruger National Park. He has also served on the board of the Field Guiding Association of South Africa (FGASA).
